A lovely and sizeable house in the quaint village of Glencaple. We were warmly welcomed on Friday and quickly settled in, only a short drive from the town of Dumfries, and various local amenities, ideal when visiting Dumfries and Galloway for a few days / week. We were blessed with good weather which lit up the local scenery which was quite spectacular, at sunset in particular. The facilities in the house were modern and well kept and we were very comfortable. Would highly recommend a stay, as we had a great time.

What a fantastic cottage! We spent a few days here and were totally delighted with it. The location is ideal, with beautiful views over the river, and towards the hills beyond. As others have already said, the sunsets are spectacular. The cottage itself has everything you could need and the comfiest bed ever in the main bedroom…
Will definitely consider going back at some point, we loved it.

Shorepark Cottage is a beautiful home in an excellent location. The house is spotless and has everything that you would need for a holiday away. The home is in a peaceful area, with excellent views of the Nith but is only a short stroll away from the Boathouse Cafe and Nith hotel so that you can eat out without having to drive anywhere. It is ideally located for visiting nearby attractions in the Dumfries area.

Fabulous cottage, as beautiful and well appointed as it looks. Such a quiet and peaceful spot with amazing views across the river … huge picture windows to make the most of the sunsets. Pat was a super host and so welcoming.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Pat communicated well with us and showed us around and how everything worked when we arrived. We didn’t get the best weather with two storms but the view from the living room window is amazing! We would definitely come back in the summer and see if we can catch a sunset!
The house is well equipped and plenty of space for 6 of us.
The boathouse at the top of the road is a great little place for breakfast/lunch.

Really wonderful place to stay. It’s every bit as beautiful as the pictures show. Really quiet and relaxing and you have everything you need in the house. Will definitely return sometime.

Really beautiful cottage with amazing views of the river. Very warm and cosy, with super facilities, TV in each bedroom, comfy furnishings. Great location close to Dumfries and the beach. Pat was a fab host and made us feel very welcome. The house is decorated really beautifully and we had a superb stay despite the dire weather! Would highly reccomend this air b&b to others.

An amazing place to stay and relax. Clean, modern and very specious. Pat is a great host, very friendly and helpful with any queries we have had. Great communication. Outstanding views over the river, cosy fireplace and house fully equipped with basically anything you need. Highly recommend this beautiful cottage to stay!

Clean, beautifully finished and quiet location for exploring the borders. My husband and I really enjoyed this spot. The views were overwhelming and the sunrises & sunsets were quite the treat. Thanks so much for the fabulous stay, Pat!
